Giving Tuesday | Support Our Soldiers on the Front Line (Tax Deductible)

As you probably know, the Tuesday after Cyber Monday is called GivingTuesday.

GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to use their individual power of generosity to support their communities.

What a perfect day for me to say THANK YOU to the many amazing followers of Kosher on a Budget who have contributed to the efforts my husband and I are taking on in Israel to support our soldiers and the displaced civilians from the South and the North.

Together the Kosher on a Budget community has supplied eight different army units, with everything from tactical gloves, uniforms and thermal long-underwear to basics like water proof socks, energy drinks and protein bars. We have also bought a month’s worth of diapers, wipes and formula for the youngest residents of Kibbutz Kisufim, whose surviving residents were evacuated from Otef Aza (the “Gaza Envelope”) after the massacre on October 7th.

Most recently, we have turned our attention to purchasing thirty ceramic, bullet-proof vests for a unit of soldiers stationed along the Gaza boarder. Each vest costs approximately $1500 (5640 NIS) and as of yesterday, we have raised $42,000. Just two more vests to go!

Our work is not done, though. As long as our soldiers and the displaced citizens of Israel need help, we will be here for them.

If you would like to join us, I have teamed up with Friends of United Hatzalah to enable you to make a tax deductible donation. Please follow the directions in the video below to ensure that 100% of your donation will be earmarked for KOAB to help us continue to provide tactical gear and recovery assistance in Israel.

There are a few steps you need to be sure to follow so that your donations will be earmarked for the KOAB Community. I made this short video to explain the process.

I know it is hard to be far away from Israel right now. Everyone feels the acute pain of our nation and our people. We all want to DO SOMETHING and that is why I so feel fortunate to be able to bring the KOAB community together in this way: We are truly making a difference and protecting our soldiers — as they protect us.

Please join our Whatsapp group to receive updates and photos.

Tikzu l’mitzvot and thank you!
