KC Kosher Coop – YOM TOV ORDER DEADLINE (Amazing Deals on Chicken, Ground Beef & Brisket)

KC Kosher Co-Op

I’ve sung their praises many times before.

And I’m happy to be doing it again tonight.

Because the Kansas City Co-op is one of my favorite ways to keep my grocery budget as low as possible.

I know my prices. I keep a price book. So when the Co-op can beat my “buy now price” on meat or cheese or even Shabbat candles, I act. Fast.

(Yup, I am ordering a case of Ner Zion Neriot Candles because they are $4 a less per box than what I pay locally. And then I’m splitting the case with some friends. Because I’m a sharer, like that.)

This month’s KC Kosher Co-op deadline is fast approaching — in fact, it’s tomorrow, Thursday, August 25th.

In addition to all the regular great deals, there are some truly stellar specials this month, which I wanted to take a moment to point out to you.

If you don’t want to purchase a full case (sometimes you just don’t have room to freeze 30 lbs of meat!), you can put items on the Split Products Page to find others to split with. Or you can do what I do — put it on Facebook and ask local friends to share a case with you.

There are KCKosherCoop deliveries in 22 cities across America – if you aren’t signed up yet, be sure to create an account and place your order before tomorrow night.

  1. Mara, I wanted to share with you the experience I’ve just had with KC Kosher Co-op. After seeing your post above, my friend Lisa and I decided to order and share 33 pounds of 2nd cut brisket for $207. I understand that the website cautions that amounts are estimates, but are generally within 25% and usually much more exact than that. When I happened to go into my account today to check the order status, I saw that the total will actually be $271!! That’s a variance of over 30%. There was no email or other communication to alert me to the large discrepancy. If I hadn’t happened to go onto the website and check, I would never have known until they simply debited my checking account for almost $70 more than I had planned for. If I had known that the variance could be that large, I would not have ordered it. And they should have absolutely contacted me to let me know that they were planning to pull a lot more money out of my account than I was expecting! I have twice reached out to the owner, asking that she call me or give me a number where I can reach her. She has refused, insisting that all communications be in writing. I honestly feel like this was a bait and switch and I am very disappointed in the level of customer service. I know that you’ve had very good experiences with them, but I wouldn’t order from them again.
