My 5 Favorite Black Friday Deals: $15 FitFlops, $20 Dots, $70 Instant Pots, $5 Book Coupons & $14 Board Games

Whoa. Black Friday 2018 has sure been a marathon, hasn’t it? Just check out all the deals we’ve had so far!

(And it’s not done yet — Amazon just sent me their Cyber Monday sneak peek… You guys are gonna love it.)

It’s nearly Shabbat, however, so I’m about to turn off the computer and de-glaze my eyes! But before I go, I wanted to share with you my personal five favorite deals from Black Friday.

#1. FitFlops – 60% Off + Extra 25% Off + FREE Shipping

I ordered my first pair with this sale and got them yesterday. HOLY MOLY they are so worth the hype! It is the most comfortable foot bed imaginable! I can’t say enough about these — and will be singing their praises forever. Especially for the next 36 hours or so, when you can get them for as low as $15!!!!

#2. The Amazon Echo Dot for just $19.99

These aren’t exactly necessary – but they’re so fun… and functional! My kids love them (“Alexa, play 20 Questions”), my husband loves them (“Alexa, play the Tony Kornheiser Show”) and honestly, I’ve surprised myself by loving them, too. Heck, I’d pay the $20 just to be able to keep adding items to my grocery list without having to write them down. (Seriously, saying “Alexa, add sugar to my shopping list” as I pour the last cup into a cake I’m baking on Friday afternoon is the best thing ever!)

Last year for Black Friday, this same Dot was $29.99, so Amazon is seriously upping its price discount game. By the way, you can also get the full-size Echo for just $69, regularly $99.99 (also $10 less than last year’s Black Friday sale) and the speaker quality on that one is AMAZING!

 

8 Qt Instant Pot Black Friday

#3. 8-Quarter 7-in-1 Instant Pot for $69.99

First, I love the price on this one. In fact, I think I said something similar about this last year — when it was $81. So yeah, this is a VERY GOOD DEAL.

And second, I love the size of this. This is the “Mac Daddy” of the IPs — it’s the biggest size they have and perfect for cooking for a crowd… or making up a vat of chicken broth to freeze. #4. $5 off $20 Book Coupon Coupon at Amazon 

It may not be the “sexiest” Black Friday deal out there, but what can I say? I love books! And I’ve always got a cart filled with them at Amazon, so when I can save $5, it’s basically like getting one for free!

{A close second, as far as reading material goes, is this $.99 sale from Discount Mags – not everything is that low, but everything is INSANELY low… on titles we don’t always get deals on. Like Cooks Illustrated for $6.}

#5. Exploding Kittens Card Game for $13.99

Y’all. The name of this game pains me. Why can’t it be called Exploding MOSQUITOES???? No one likes mosquitoes!

But that (major) flaw aside, my daughter LOVED this game when she played it at a friend’s house over Shabbat a few months ago and has been begging me to get it. I kept telling her I’d wait for a sale…. and lo and behold, Amazon did not disappoint!

For hours of Shabbat entertainment at just $13.99 – the first and only discount of this kind! – I will just have to forgive that horrible name of the game. 😉

(We already had a lot of the games at the 50% off board game sale, but I love that sale as well. If you want Catan, Pandemic or Ticket to Ride, check it out!)

So there you have it – my 5 favorite deals from this Black Friday. By the way, a very close 6th (or really a tie for #5) was this jewelry sale at Nordstrom. I just love these pieces — and the price tag at 40% off!)
