Personalized Children’s Book for 50% Off ~ Adorable Gift Idea

Did you sign up for SavvySource when I mentioned them in my Deal of the Day post? I got an email from them this morning with THE cutest gift idea for the little ones in your life.

They are offering a personalized storybook from MarbleSpark for $16 (normally $32.94.)

Online storybook publisher Marblespark will take your child’s name and incorporate it into an enchanting tale featuring Felix Featherbottom the stork, Pierre du Pond the frog… and your little one. Your child will delight at Felix and Pierre’s adventures as they travel to around the world, searching for the letters in her name, in countries that begin with each letter in her name. All you have to do is type in your child’s first and last name, and Marblespark will do the rest.

I’ve seen a lot of these “personalized” books and CDs before and I’ve always felt they were a bit… I don’t know… cheap? But this book by Marblespark really stands out.

The illustrations are gorgeous and the text itself is well-written and clever. Having spent my fair share of evenings reading the same stories over and over again, I have to say that “readability” is extremely important to me – I can’t read drivel night after night!

Plus, we all know what wonderfully self-absorbed creatures toddlers are, so I’m thinking that a book all about THEM will instantly become their favorite.

I was so impressed that I ordered a copy to give to a new baby in our community. I can’t wait to get it. If it’s half as cute as the pictures look, I will be thrilled!
