Purim is less than two weeks away, my friends! Are you getting excited?? Are you sameach yet?!
If not, maybe this will help you get in the Purim mood….
Because you all are THE best readers — and because I love you all, I really do! – I have lined up a whole week of Purim giveaways. It’s my way of saying thank you for reading Kosher on a Budget. And – of wishing you a PURIM SAMEACH.
I’m very excited to kick things off today with a $25 gift card to KosherWine.com. That ought to add a little umph to your Ad Lo’Yada! Or maybe you could start stocking up for your Pesach seder?
However it gets spent, one lucky Kosher on a Budget reader will win a $25 gift certificate to KosherWine.com.
(If you don’t know about the great vino deals at KosherWine.com, you can read my KosherWine.com review here. We’ve been happy customers for almost three years!)
Do you want to win the $25 KosherWine.com gift certificate?Β You have three ways to enter to win. Be sure to leave separate comments for each answer to increase your chances.
(1) Leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite kind of wine. (Me? I’m a Riesling girl!)
(2)Β “Like” Kosher on a Budget on Facebook, and then come back and leave a second comment telling me you have done so. If you already “like” KOAB, just leave a comment to that effect.
(3) Follow KOAB on Twitter, and then come back and leave a comment telling me you have done so. Already follow KOAB? Just leave a comment to that effect.
Entries on this – and the rest of my Purim giveaways – will end on Sunday, March 13 at midnight. I will announce all the winners on Monday morning!
All winners will be selected randomly. Each person can win only once during the week-long Purim Giveaway.
Good luck & let’s have some Purim fun!
P.S. I’m very sorry to all my non-US readers, but this giveaway is only open to those of you who live in the contiguous United States due to shipping issues.
Bartenura’s Moscato D’Asti- sweet and simple π
I’m also a Moscato D’Asti fan – weather by Rashi or Bartenura. My father jokes that it is sweet like fruit punch but, I guess that is why I like it.

Well, i’m pregnant right now, so no wine for me. I admit, when i didn’t keep kosher, i loved Amarone, which i have yet to find a kosher version of. But the kosher Prosecco is good! can’t remember the brand!
Now following you on Twitter!
My vino of preference is a white like Bartenura Moscato, but generally any white from Teal Lake, Bartenura, BoothBay or Gamla works π

My favorite wine is Cream Malaga made by Kedem. It’s really sweet π

Not very original, in light of all the commentors who already mentioned it, but my favorite is Bartenura Moscati D’Asti
Bartenura Moscato D’Asti is definitely my favorite, although I’ve slowly been making myself start to expand into other (read: not sparkly alcoholic grape juice) wines. π
I follow you on Twitter.
Favorite kind of wine – Bartenura in the blue bottle! But for a more frugal choice, I also like Rashi light.

We are big fans of Hagafen Vineyards in general and of their Reisling in particular. They can be harder to find, but are wonderful wines.
I like Malvasia.
I also like Mara on Facebook.
Anything dry and red. Moltepulciano, Merlot and cabernet Sauvignon are some of my favorite.
This is for my husband…he is quite the wine connoisseur. He has a wine aerator (which was my gift to him) to let the wine “breathe” instantaneously and a wine preserving pump, to take out air so it will last longer. He really enjoys a glass of red wine, particularly Merlot. His favorite brand of Merlot is Dalton, which is from Israel. Last time we went to Israel, we visited the Dalton factory up North. He loved it! Me personally – I’m an Asti gal, but I try to enjoy with him the ‘bold’ and ‘robust’ taste of wine “balanced by spicy vanilla and turmeric” – to quote the back of one of his favorite bottles π
Moscato

My husband loves dry red wine from — where else? Israel!
Bartenura– the sweet one in the blue bottle π

favorite wine – Bartenura – the blue bottle!
Golan Moscato is my favorite. Light and not too sweet. Hagafen winery makes some lovely wines as well. I had a Cabernet Sauvignon (I believe that’s what it was) that was wonderful. Of course, that was 3-4 years ago and it was at the perfect age then.
I’m totally a Moscato kind of gal. However, I must say I also like Baron Herzog’s Jeunesse Chard
I follow you on Twitter. And you follow me on twitter. Does that make us friends?
I like Israeli Cabernet Savignion (is that how you spell it?). But the girl in me loves Bartenura Mascato.

Yeah, Moscato D’asti from Bartenura is one of my favorites. I had the Rashi version for the first time this week and it was much more grape-y, which was interesting.
Lately, we’ve been roasting chicken with Barkan 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon that someone gave us, and it’s AMAZING. Just went out and bought another bottle.
We were just going to place an order through them for Pesach, but I’m waiting to see if maybe… we’ll get “lucky” π Thanks!
Oops, forgot to say that I like Black Muscat in my previous post (or maybe its Malvasia? kind of a toss up btwn the 2…). Already liked you on FB.
