Are you planning a Target run this week? What’s on your list?
I did a Target run today. Morningstar Farms are still on sale for $2.99 until 6/18. Target has the $1 off 2 coupon available again and I got 2 $1/1 coupons from their website. 4 boxes, $11.96 before coupons, $7.96 after coupons or just under $2/box.
I got Tide Action Pacs and can’t for the life of me figure out what happened. It started with me picking up the 34 count instead of the advertised sale 28 count by mistake (stocked in wrong slot). I had 2 $3 off coupons from the P&G saver. When I checked out, I got an unadvertised $5 gift card BUT when I looked at my scanned coupons, I got credited for a $3 off and a $1 off. Is there some Target coupon policy I’m missing here???? I couldn’t have handed a $1 coupon to the checker by mistake as these were identical and the only ones I had and the checker scanned them, didn’t enter them manually. All in all, not a bad deal regardless – with the gift card that brings the price down to $13 for 68 Tide Action Pacs (making it a better deal than I had originally planned), but I’d love to know where the other $2 went from my coupon. Anyone looking to replicate this deal, there was a $1 off any Tide product Target coupon that ran a few weeks ago, but alas, I had spent mine on an earlier deal.
One other deal I got falls in the “never too early to plan for back to school” category. A while back I had gotten Scotch tape coupons for $1 off “any Scotch magic tape purchase”. I had 3 of them and they were set to expire the end of June. Target has a bundle of 3 dispenser rolls that costs only $0.10 more than a single roll. Target honored the coupons on the multipack, so I got 9 rolls for $5.67 or $0.63 a piece (350 inch rolls). Not free but a pretty good deal all in all.
Hmmm – I just noticed I had the same result using two $3/2 coupons from P&G on Tampax and Always – $3 off the first coupon, $1 off the second. Obviously I’m missing something in the Target policy.
