If you have any interest in photography, read on!

Have you recently purchased a DSLR? Perhaps you already owned a DSLR camera, but never managed to figure out how to get off Auto mode.

Thru the end of the day tomorrow (11/28), the online photography school ShootFlyShoot is running an awesome 50% off sale good on ALL their classes when you use the coupon code cyber16 at checkout.

You can even buy gift certificates for 50% off – if you want to let a friend or family member pick out their own classes.

  • Photography 101 — $79 $39.50 for Cyber Monday
  • Photography 102  — $79 $39.50 for Cyber Monday
  • Photography 101 & Photography 102 (Combined Package) — $125 $62.50 (this is the one that I purchased three years ago when I was learning to use my DSLR — and since you get lifetime access, I still look at clips today if I get stuck!)

They also have classes in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Three years ago, I bought a “good” camera and vowed to myself that I would never use it on “automatic mode”. Only problem? I didn’t know my aperture from my shutter speed.

Despite my ignorance, I really wanted to figure out how to take good pictures that utilized the full capability of my brand new camera. I wasn’t aiming for award-winning, mind you — just for pictures that I don’t constantly have to apologize for!

Well, I’m pleased to tell you that I was able to check that goal off my list thanks to the series of online video photography classes I took thru the site Shoot Fly Shoot.

I took this shot using their teaching – and that post has gotten re-pinned almost 105,000 times (still can’t even believe that)!

Easy Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts

I was really impressed with the  Shoot Fly Shoot videos — they are clear, easy to understand and just enough information without being overwhelming. I like how they break the lessons down into bite-sized pieces  — Exposure, ISP, Aperture, Shutter Speed, etc.

The videos range from a few minutes to 45 minutes long, and you can watch them over – and over – again until you really “get” that lesson. Once you make a purchase, the class is yours forever — watch them again, anytime you need a refresher. Being able to learn at your own speed is so important when you’re doing something hands on like photography.

Beside shots for the blog, I primarily use the lessons I gleaned from Shoot Fly Shoot to take shots of my kids. Or even the pretty flowers in our backyard!

This sale is valid through Monday, 11/28/16, only.
