I walked into the Oh Nuts! store with the aim of getting a variety of dried fruits to layer in a rainbow combination. When I saw the display of dry raw pineapple, mango and bananas, I was so taken with the color and textures I immediately changed my mind. Starting with those, I gathered various fruits nuts and seeds in natural colors. The result reminded me of a cross section of sedimentary rock, so I glued a piece of pyrite on top to really make it pop.
To create my mishloach manot, I used Natural Dried Pineapple Rings, Dried Papaya Spears, and Natural Dried Guava Slices.
With over 2,000 votes cast (wow!), we had a very close contest. But by midnight on Wednesday, Ru’s beautiful dried fruit mishloach manot came out on top!
If you missed the news, Oh Nuts sponsored the Ultimate Mishloach Manot Contest, where KOAB readers had the opportunity to create mishlochai manot, using Oh Nuts products. The winner with the most votes has earned a $100 gift card to Oh Nuts.
There were 12 different ideas submitted – all wonderfully creative and beautiful. Hope you guys had as much fun with this as I did!
