Orange Creamsicle Smoothie Recipe

How to make an organe creamsicle smoothie - just 200 calories for this delicious breakfast.

Since posting my January menu plan, a number of you have written to ask me about my breakfast smoothies.

Over the next month, I will try to share some “recipes” to my favorite smoothies, for those of you that would like to start your day this way as well.

Today I am sharing one of my absolute favorite smoothies!

Enjoy!

Do you like smoothies for breakfast? Or anytime of day? What are your favorite recipes?

  1. Sounds delicious! Can’t wait to try this recipe.

  2. That’s a serious blender! Do you think a Blendtec/Vitamix is worth the investment? Thanks.

    • LOL, yes, it was a bit “treat” last year at Pesach time. It’s a delight for smoothie making, nut butters, etc. We do use it at least once a day, but there’s no doubt that it’s $$$. I guess it depends how your family cooks / eats (and of course, what kind of disposable income you have) as to whether it’s worth it. I will say that of all my appliances, I use it more often than anything else. It even gets more use than the Keurig!

  3. This looks so good, but I’m so cooollllldddd! I can’t do smoothies when it’s so cold out. When I do make smoothies, they usually involve frozen blueberries, soaked chia seeds and whatever current obsession I have. I only get one if I work out; it’s a reward.

    • I know – I have a hard time with eating well / smart in general in the winter. Hydrating enough is also a challenge in the colder weather.

  4. I’m so glad I found your site, these recipes are fabulous. Making the cherry cobbler as I type. Thank you sooooo much. SunnyT

  5. Just came to this recipe from your grain-free menu.
I’m not big on trying new foods (or new food combinations), to put it mildly, but this looks like it might be right up my ally.
I’m gluten free and sugar free, and I’m getting a little sick of my strawberry-banana smoothie – as delicious as it is!
I think I’ll give this one a go.
    Thanks for sharing!

Let me know what you think of it. I love it! It really does remind me of those push-up creamsicles of my childhood!

  6. Maybe I had bad ingredients or down thing but honestly I tried this and it was DISGUSTING. It actually burned my throat.
