KMart | Kenmore Chest Freezer for $229 (In-Store Pick-Up)

If you’ve been in the market for a chest freezer, there’s a great deal for you today.

The Kenmore 8.8 cu. ft. Chest Freezer is K-Mart’s deal of the day and you can get it for just $229 (regularly $299).

Note that this is only available for store pick-up so you will need to confirm that there is availability in your area (three stores had it in Kansas City, so hopefully you’ll find it in your area, too).

I know many people love their uprights, but I actually prefer a chest freezer and here’s why:

• It costs less to operate, in terms of your electric bill
• In the event of an extended power outage, your food will last inside (assuming you don’t open the chest) for 2 days longer than with an upright.
